Originally from Chéticamp, Nova Scotia, Thaddée is the only villager who plays the ocarina. A true penny-pincher, he’d sell his own shirt—or his neighbour’s—to make a dollar.

Performer

Émilien Cormier
Émilien Cormier (he/him), born and raised in Cheticamp, Nova-Scotia, is a professional actor residing in New-Brunswick since 2014. You may have seen him in the Capitol Theatre's recent musical productions as Prince Eric (Little Mermaid), Lucas Beineke (Addams Family) and Pinocchio (Shrek). He is also a theatre instructor when not on stage, himself. Émilien also plays regularly at the local folk and trad music sessions, or with his sibling, Lilianne Cormier. Since 2018, Émilien has incarnated the role of Thaddée Deveau, here at the Pays de la Sagouine. You'll probably see him here and there, whether with the band or with other characters. If not, he's probably wandering around, playing his ocarina.
