The Pays is a complete immersion into Acadian joie-de-vivre and the imaginative world of Antonine Maillet! During your visit, you’ll meet a wide array of unique and colourful characters who bring both the mainland and Île-aux-Puces to life.
The Pays invites you into an original program filled with performances, entertainment, and one surprise after another, all infused with a truly unique Acadian touch. Between character interactions, humour, music, and theatre, every visit becomes a different experience - and no two visits to the PAYS are ever quite the same! And although their English may be a bit rough around the edges at times, do not hesitate to have a chat with the characters!

Recommended visit time: The length of a visit to the PAYS depends on each visitor’s pace and interests. Our programming runs throughout the day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and your ticket includes two consecutive days of admission. We recommend planning for a minimum of 4 hours on site.
Extend your visit by enjoying our patio overlooking the Bouctouche Bay. Food service and a bar will be available throughout the evening. End your day with an unforgettable immersive journey through our nighttime experience, Akadi Lumina.
