The length of your visit depends on your pace and interests. Our programming runs throughout the day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and your admission ticket includes two consecutive days of access. We recommend planning at least 4 hours to fully enjoy the site.
Extend your visit by relaxing on our terrace overlooking Bouctouche Bay, where food service and the bar are available in the evening. End your day with a truly immersive experience by attending Akadi Lumina, our nightwalk.
Yes, the site is explored on foot. A shuttle service is available for visitors with reduced mobility to access l’Île-aux-Puces. Please note that due to a temporary floating footbridge, accommodation capacity may be limited. If you have concerns, we encourage you to contact us in advance at 1-800-561-9188 or reach out via social media so we can explore the best way to accommodate your needs.
Wearing a shirt and footwear is mandatory. We recommend comfortable walking shoes, a reusable water bottle, and sunscreen. Dress for the season, keeping in mind that temperatures on l’Île-aux-Puces can be up to 10 degrees cooler than on the mainland. Depending on the weather, a sweater or light jacket is advised.
Reusable water bottles and hoodies are available for purchase at the gift shop.
For Akadi Lumina, wear weather-appropriate, comfortable clothing and closed walking shoes or sneakers. Insect repellent can also be useful in the forest. Please note that umbrellas are not permitted during the Akadi Lumina experience.
Daytime performances are presented in French. A bilingual presentation is offered three times daily, Wednesday to Sunday, in the Hangar—don’t miss our newest experience, Acadictionnaire!
There are also daily performances in English. Details and schedules are available at the welcome desk upon arrival.
La Paneterie, a snack counter, is located on ĂŽle-aux-Puces and open during site hours.
La Terrasse, our bar and canteen, is open Wednesday to Sunday from 4pm to 9pm. Open later on Friday evenings
The food truck at Espace UNI (Akadi Lumina) is open in the evening.
Outside food is not permitted inside the site (including coolers).
However, picnic tables are available outside the welcome area near the parking lot for those who wish to eat before entering.
Parking Lot P3 allows parking for the duration of your visit. Please note that overnight parking is not permitted.
Camping is NOT permitted at any time, and the site cannot accommodate overnight stays. However, a hyperlink to nearby accommodation options.
No. Only certified service animals are permitted. Please note that proof of certification will be requested at the admission desk upon arrival.
Smoking cigarettes, marijuana, or vaping is not permitted on site. A designated smoking area is located near the entrance, close to the welcome centre.
