- Louis-Marie Melanson lives in Grande-Digue but was born and grew up in Saint-Antoine. He studied at the Saint-Joseph college, Saint-Anne University and l’Université de Moncton. During his career he has worked in different professions. Among other things he was a journalist at (l’Évangéline and Acadie Nouvelle) , cultural development agent (Société culturelle Kent-Sud and Conseil Acadien de Développement Culturel) public employee with de departments of (Income Assistance and Agriculture) and chair an Appeal Board with WorkSafe NB. Louis-Marie sat on numerous organisations, locally, regionally and nationally.
