Straight from the forest of Akadi Lumina, Chanterelle embodies magic and imagination. If you meet her, don’t forget to ask for a star.
Performer
- Danica Roy
- Queer artist from Robertville, New Brunswick, Danica Roy enjoys bringing magic and wonder to her projects. A graduate in Art Dramatique from Université de Moncton in 2019, she first became known through cosplay and improvisation, where she developed her creativity, sense of performance, and love for audiences. It was while princessing at several children’s parties and events that she rediscovered the magic that exists within each of us, and understood the impact she could have on people, both young and young at heart. She is also the author of La Queer Bringue, an Acadie Love project awarded at the 2025 Éclats de Fierté Gala. Since 2024, Danica is playing Chanterelle and continues to share her passion for imagination one star at a time: “My goal in my artistic practice is to bring back the magic to adults who have too often forgotten it exist”.
