National Acadian Day

In collaboration with UNI Coopération financière, Heritage Canada and the City of Bouctouche, Le Pays de la Sagouine is proud to continue to celebrate National Acadian Day.
Thanks to our sponsors, admission to the site for the day, as well as to the evening concert are FREE.
Schedule of events at Le Pays de la Sagouine
10 am - Entertainment and shows on the mainland and the island, l'Île-aux-Puces
11 am to 1:30 pm - Traditionnal boiled dinner ($15 + tax), Viola-Léger Theatre Restaurant
3:15 pm - Arrival of the tintamarre at Le Pays
Ave Maris Stella and speeches
Acadian Day jam with our characters and house band
6 pm - A large musical celebration on the island with (all ages show). Bands will play in order listed:
- The Mainlanders
- Andy Bast
- Rhéal LeBlanc
- Hert LeBlanc
Schedule of events at the Bouctouche Farmers' Market
11:30 am to 2:30 pm - Music with Raymond Savoie, kids' corner (crafts and face painting), food and cake
2:15 pm - Mayor's adress, word from Kent South MLA, raising of the Acadian flag and national Acadian anthem Ave Maris Stella
2:30 pm - Departure of the tintamarre on foot (from the Farmers' market to the Pays de la Sagouine)
The City of Bouctouche is also organizing two contests: best decorated house and best acadian costume. Prizes will be handed out just before the tintamarre's departure.
