INGREDIENTS
- 2 ½ cup flour
- ½ cup of lard
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup of water
- 1 tbsp of vinegar
TO ROLL
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1 cup of margarine
SIRUP FOR COOKING
- 1 cup of water
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp margarine
RECIPE – ‘’Pets de soeur’’
COOKING: 350 DEGREES FOR 20 TO 25 MINUTES
- In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients well: flour, baking powder, salt. Add the lard and mix with your hands.
- Add the water and mix well until you have a nice paste.
- Spread a little flour on the work surface and on the rolling pin. Roll the dough until you get the oval or rectangular shape.
- Once the dough is well rolled, apply the margarine (1 cup as indicated in the "To roll" section) over the entire surface of the dough.
- Then spread the brown sugar on the surface of the dough, leaving a space at the top of the dough.
- Roll. Cut into sections and place in a dish.
- Prepare the syrup and pour over the ‘’Pets de soeur’’.
